It's Ed and his mom's birthday month! To celebrate, we’re featuring a nostalgic dish Ed grew up making for the two of them. Bao Bao, meaning baby in Mandarin, was his mom's nickname growing up and is the namesake of our little company. So please enjoy this ode to dinner with mom. 

Dear Bao Bao features marinated ground pork with a soy forward flavor profile and pickled mustard greens all wrapped up in fluffy dough. It’s zippy and zany just like Ed. Happy birthday month to the Bao Bud of all Bao Buds!

Paired with our house smoky chili oil. Keep frozen until ready to enjoy. Chili oil can be stored in the fridge.

Each bag contains 6 baos aka 2-3 meals.

Ingredients & Allergens

Bao: Ground pork, pickled mustard greens, soy sauce, sugar, random spices.
Wrapper: Flour, water.
Chili oil: Chili peppers, sesame seeds. Minnesota nice spice with a smoky flavor profile.
Allergens: Contains gluten and soy. Chili oil contains sesame seeds.

We operate in a shared kitchen, so cross contamination with peanuts and nuts may happen.

Each order includes six delectable baos and a zingy dipping sauce. Depending on how hungry you are, there are 2-3 servings/meals per bag.

Serving Suggestions

We suggest pan frying your baos, and topping with sesame seeds and/or chopped green onion. Sesame seeds not included.

Delivery Instructions

We offer delivery every other Thursday between 4:00–8:00 pm for addresses within an 18 mile radius of our kitchen (2940 Harriet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408).

Choose shipping -> local delivery at checkout. Free delivery on orders $50+!

At checkout, please include any helpful delivery instructions along with your phone number. We’ll only use your number if we need to contact you about your delivery.

On delivery day, make sure someone is home to receive your baos so they don’t melt. If no one is available to receive your order, your baos will be held for pickup at Arbeiter Brewing during our next scheduled pick-up window.

If you're no longer available to receive your order on the selected delivery date, please send us an email at hello@baobaobuns.com to reschedule.

Notes: 

  • You can find us inside the brewery. We'll have a $2 off coupon for your next beer purchase!
  • Make sure to bring an insulated bag.
  • Buns should go into the freezer when you get home.
  • Please contact us if you need to reschedule. If no orders are scheduled for pick-up on a particular day, we will not be staffing that pick-up time.
