Microwave

For the best taste, we do suggest pan frying or steaming your buns. However, sometimes Chef Mic is the most convenient or only option.

Equipment needed:

  • Microwave-safe plate
  • Microwave

How to:

  1. Place frozen baos on a microwave-safe plate.
  2. Cover the baos with a damp paper towel.
  3. Allow Chef Mic 45 - 90 seconds to cook your baos. Check periodically to prevent overcooking.
  4. Internal temp should be around 170 degrees F.
  5. Carefully remove the plate and allow baos to cool.
  6. Enjoy!

Cook times might vary due to the wattage of the microwave you are using. When in doubt, start with 30 - 60 seconds and add time on from there.

Air Fryer

As always, we do suggest pan frying or steaming your buns but sometimes it just makes sense to use the air fryer. It’ll give your baos a calzone consistency which makes drops like the Mamma Mia extra tasty.

Equipment needed:

  • The handy dandy air fryer you got for Christmas…or was it a Prime Day impulse purchase?

How to:

  1. Place frozen baos in your air fryer without pre-heating the air fryer.
  2. Set cooking temperature to 300 °F and cooking time to 18 minutes.
  3. Check and flip baos at the 12-minute mark.
  4. Internal temp should be around 170 degrees F.
  5. Carefully remove baos and allow to cool.
  6. Enjoy!

Cook times may vary due to the wattage of the air fryer you are using. When in doubt, start with 12 minutes and add time if needed.
